Coat — Short, smooth, thick and glossy single coat; very low maintenance.

Recognised colours — Pure white; a single dark patch near the eye is permitted.

Confident, brave, loyal and athletic. A powerful big-game hunter and guardian — devoted and affectionate with family, fearless and strong-willed.

Trainability — Moderate–high — intelligent and willing but dominant and powerful; needs an experienced, confident owner and early socialisation.

Grooming — Very low. Weekly wipe-down; the white coat needs sun protection (sunburn risk on skin and nose).

Good with — A devoted family dog with proper raising; powerful with high drive — careful socialisation and responsible management essential.

The short white coat handles Indian heat reasonably and reflects sun, but white skin sunburns — provide shade. Needs daily vigorous exercise.

Health notes — Deafness (BAER-test — linked to white coat), hip dysplasia, hypothyroidism, skin issues, glaucoma.
